On the banks of the Sawatari river there is an unpretentious inn

In years gone by, the landlady was engaged in art and literature. Now, talking to her lodgers is her raison d'être.

This small inn is on the Sawatari riverside.

This inn is limited to one-day reservations because the landlady wants to treat her lodgers right, talking to them about their hobbies and the passing of the seasons.

The lodger’s smile

The landlady imagines herself in the lodger’s shoes and does things in a way she thinks they might like. She does this because she wants to see them smile as they leave to go home.
Though she says she wants “more time for my hobbies than for my work,” her dedication to her lodgers can be seen in the cleanliness of the inn she keeps.
From the guest room window you can see Bantsuri Park and Sawatari River. This inn is highly recommended to those who would like to fish or hike. The river can also be seen from the bath. Seasonal flowers and handicrafts made by the landlady welcome you to the inn.
The food consists of locally-sourced homemade dishes. Homemade pickles and tempura made from wild vegetables picked by the landlady herself.  Prices are from 5000 to 9000 yen. You can choose from lodging-only, breakfast and lodging, or the full dinner, breakfast and lodging packages.
